About me and The Chipped Platter

I’m Christy Hobart, a former editor at a food magazine (Saveur), a garden magazine (Garden Design), and a shelter publication (Elle Décor). I moved from NYC to LA, my hometown, where I now freelance. Between assignments (and when I’m not shuttling kids around) I pursue my passions–cooking, gardening, decorating and entertaining. And because I love to write, I’ve started this blog.

Here, at The Chipped Platter, I’ll welcome you into my kitchen and to my table, I’ll bring you along as I discover new restaurants and meet new people, and I’ll share with you what I learn along the way.

I hope to hear from you!

Thank you,

Christy
